Auditions for "IS MURDER TAX-DEDUCTIBLE?" will be held at 6:30 pm on January 7 and 8 at Inspiration Studios, 1500 South 73rd Street.
A large cast is needed.
This is a show unfamiliar to many as it has been produced only once. The audition will include a synopsis of the show. Three actors are reprising their roles from the original production six years ago. IMPORTANT: These are characters, but by NO means caricatures!!! All are believeable. Here are the character breakdowns:
Brian Merring, CPS, One member of the accounting firm of Dett and Merring. (This leading part has already been cast.)
Bella Matthews, the wise-cracking, yet loyal secretary. But where do her loyalties really lie?? A lead. 25-40. Great part for dynamic actress.
Phillip Bartholomew, a smart, rather jaded detective who must discover the murderer amoung many suspects. A lead. 30+ Great, strong part.
Carol Merring, the gum-chewing ex-wife who depends on her alimony to keep her in furs. But is the lucrative will a reason for her to kill her former spouse? A supporting character. 25-40
Helen Coner, office cleaning lady who finds the body and unwittingly may help solve the crime. (This part has already been cast.)
